Great Charcoal Paper

I have never been disappointed with a Strathmore product and neither has this one. I really like different nuances.

Great for charcoal portraits

I was already fond of Strathmore Charcoal paper but when I discovered a tinted option was available I immediately bought this notebook. Would have liked a few darker colors for white charcoal work, but this is definitely a good range of tones for portraits.

Outstanding paper

Like every other member of the Strathmore 500 series, this is an outstanding paper. Used for charcoal and light pastels. Holds up very well.

only 3 white sheets on 24 pages

I bought this thinking there would be the same number of tinted sheets for each color but it turned out to be only 3 white sheets and 6 black sheets for no reason (which I don't really need as I'm working with black coal male). I wish there were more white sheets. I think the leaves are randomly selected and linked together.

not an option, an order. β€œThe Right Thing”… Charcoal Only

High quality carbon paper is not designed for efficient use of charcoal. This is an order. I suggest quartering the first big pieces, experimenting and then working on a full page charcoal drawing... Just in case on an A3 light table with a clearly defined photo or illustration to light up. for easy reproduction of the copyimyanf schema. Just have a quality eraser handy to erase any stray marks.
