These pages are subject to breakage. I love experimenting with media in my sketchbook and have never had a problem with paper not being able to handle it. I use markers, charcoal, watercolor, graphite, gouache and other things. I wish it had more leaves because I flip through them so quickly. I think that's the best kind of problem to have.

I recently saw a video of an artist called Drawingwiffwaffles drawing on the cover of one of these sketchbooks. It was like a supernatural power took over me and I bought 4 of them. As with most Strathmore papers I find great quality at an affordable price. However, alcohol markers show through this paper.

I Love This Sketchbook! I was looking for something that would be durable and not peel off while painting. I'm currently amazed that this sketchbook is so versatile. I use it with posca markers, acrylic paint, sketches, pen and ink, even watercolor. They have very few creases, but I haven't painted them with very wet watercolor paint, just simple watercolor sketches. But I highly recommend it, especially for acrylic paint!

Sturdy construction and much better paper than I expected. After getting the first one, I just had to get another one. They hold pigmented Hoggins ink and brush well. There is some sheet warping, but the faster you work the better. I would recommend them for everyday brush, pencil and crayon drawing, but don't expect them to be able to retouch or inked. Markings should be fine. Even ink pens like COPIC Multiliner don't bleed through.

This is a very good sketchbook with good paper. You can use it for watercolor, marker, pencil and other things. The connection is good too. I had a Canson XL sketchbook of about the same size and good paper, but it fell apart! This sketchbook is really handy for drawing. The paper is slightly textured, but not as much as I prefer. I wasn't looking for side tears in this album but I already had another one and the sides came out without much difficulty.

So I've been using this album for almost a month now. Copes well with dry environments and light watercolor washes. It only weighs 98 pounds, so anything heavier than a light wash will naturally warp the paper. To be honest, for me at least, I love to distort a bit and watch my sketchbook slowly grow - it looks like it's being used and loved, and it also shows what I've been through. For the price, I really can't be mad at him. I can use it to create art and that's essentially what I need.
