The concept and idea is great but their version is a little too flimsy and the edges lay too flat. they also package this item completely wrong. It should be rolled like a poster and shipped in a long box or poster tube etc. Instead they fold it in 3's and the creases weaken the mat where it can tear more easily. I put weepads then these pad tray holders on top then another layer of weepad, then I put the artificial grass mat for puppy to poop and pee on, it’s working out well, these are a good middle layer for the setup for my puppy.

Even though my puptarts are 7 and 8lbs, sometimes the urine soaks through a brand new pad. This silicone tray is the perfect solution.They are adult dogs, but tiny. We get snow, ice, and many storms. I use pads as backups. Its silicone so should clean up nicely is the tub. I'm not worried about smells on it only they can smell because that will just help them to remember thats their spot to go when indoors.

The tray works for my little maltese puppy. She at first wanted to chew on it but forgot about doing that in a short time. Yes, once in awhile she hangs her butt too far over the edge and misses but on a whole she goes right to the tray and pees and poops in it. The raise of the edges are at an angle so really catches most everything.

There are reviews that mention the lip size and I noticed that when I opened it too. BUT this thing works perfect! The rubber mat works great in combination with the puppy pad. Our 16 year old dog now needs puppy pads. The puppy pads alone on our hard wood floors are slippery and our dog has slipped a couple times while trying to relieve himself. This product is amazing. Why didn’t I find this sooner. Thin yet durable. Best part of this product is the edges are just slightly curved up and in so any liquid that is on the edges that normally would have spilled onto my bathroom floor now diverts inward. No more mess. My dog doesn’t seem to notice this holder tray at all but I do! It has made my life so much easier. If you ever have any issues with a wee wee pad get this and problem solved.

I am living with friends in a house where many of the floors are uneven. When my dog uses the pee pad, sometimes she gets too near the edge and the urine gets off the pad. Due to these floors, this small issue becomes large as the pee runs down the slanting floor, creating it's own "stream" for me to mop. I have a senior female dog who always pees on the edge of pee pads. Pee was getting on floor under pee pads. This has helped with that, but pee is getting under pad on to this silicone holder and the silicone absorbs the pee odor. I have soaked the holder in water with cleaner and pee smell does not go away. It makes my bathroom where I keep it smell like dog pee so that is why I gave it 3 stars.

Good luck to you if your dog pees next to this mat and it becomes wet underneath. I have a very narrow hallway and when i stepped on it and the clean peepee pad on top i slipped and nearly flew to the moon.
