These cargo nets didn't meet my needs as the hooks were too small. I have a BMW 1150GS. Tiny hooks limited possible attachment points and made it difficult to don and doff. I returned the item and bought another luggage net from my local motorcycle dealer.

I bought this product to replace the tensioning cable of a motorcycle net. Will not work. It has very small hooks, like a bike rack. The hooks are a tiny 1 1/2" compared to a regular 2 1/2" motorcycle hook. Total disappointment and waste of time. They're made in China, which is fine, but with a hook this size, it's rubbish! I'll be back.

Very disappointed. I used them once on a trip and they worked great the first day, but by the second day ALL the stretch was gone. They were free and almost 1.5 times the original size. I had to tie my bag to a rack as the nets were no longer taut, dangling loose and huge. Also, all the rubber tips fell off the hooks after the first use.

I think if I were using these to hold something on the bike I wouldn't worry about the smell. I will use it in the pantry to prevent items from falling. I don't want anything with an awful smell in my pantry! I've washed them in Dial soap a few times so far and they've been hanging outside for about a week. Hopefully the smell will dissipate over time.

I ordered 2 packs to give one to a friend as a gift. I have a flat front basket (see picture). Due to bumpy roads, my groceries fell out twice even though there were 4 rubber bands attached to the basket. The luggage net is thick so my bags are well protected. I needed something to hold things securely on my bike. I used to use larger versions of these types of nets on my bike hoping everything would be fine and it was. The two nets are shipped separately. They looked good, I didn't find anything wrong with the first one I opened. I didn't have to open or use the second one. However, I was satisfied with the quality of the network. Due to the size I thought this would be a perfect replacement for my existing cargo net for my adventure bike's luggage rack. What immediately struck me is that these networks are elastic. superelastic. so stretchy that my backpack, which was a luggage net attached to the back of my bike, was literally hanging from the bike when I got to my destination.
