Velcro wears out very quickly

The Velcro stopped sticking after a few months. Forced to buy new shoes even though he still fits :( These shoes are too expensive to wear for just a few months.

Pros
  • Sturdy and well made, but runs a bit small
Cons
  • Shoes don't provide enough support for growing feet.

Leaves green color on all of my baby's socks

Shoes leave green stain on all of my child's socks. Because of this, I'm very annoyed at the price, I shouldn't have this problem. Otherwise the shoes are cute and work well. The American Podiatry Recognition is important to me and they are recognized so I really like it. I want to give foot health food to my child.

Pros
  • These shoes are amazing!
Cons
  • Shoes don't have enough cushioning

Faulty velcro in my review

We've had these boots less than 2 months and the velcro won't close. With moderate use it's already so worn it's not holding up and my son's shoes keep falling off. Strongly annoying.

Pros
  • This is the best shoe for baby's wide/bulky feet....
Cons
  • The Velcro stopped sticking after 3/4 weeks making the shoe unusable.

DO NOT trust the width!

I bought these for my grand xxw and was very disappointed as they didn't work to their widest limits. Perhaps a blessing in disguise given the Stride Rite prices. I went to Wal-Mart and bought cream colored 100% leather baby shoes for $19, real leather sneakers! They were perfect, so now WalMart will go to work for this sweet, wide-legged kid.

Pros
  • Stylish design in a combination of white and dark blue colors.
Cons
  • The shoes have too many plastic parts that can easily break.

I love these but they didn't live up to the price.

They are perfect for my boy with big wide feet! I am disappointed that after 1 month of wearing the velcro on some sneakers has already fallen off. The shoe itself is still in great shape, but it can no longer be closed. I guess I'll have to buy another pair hoping this doesn't happen again as it's the only shoe that fits my boy.

Pros
  • My 16 month old has wide feet and hates shoes. This shoe is easy to put on and actually stays on. Love her!
Cons
  • The colors are too bright and conspicuous for children's shoes.

The Velcro didn't even last a month.

I rarely write reviews but I am very disappointed in the quality of this shoe. I take great pride in researching products for my son and this one just didn't live up to expectations. They cannot be used after 1 month of ownership. In fact, he wore them alternately 3 pairs of shoes for only 3 weeks. I tried to find a way to contact the store but to no avail. I will not buy this brand again.

Pros
  • I love all the Stride Rite shoes that I have bought for my grandson, they are great.
Cons
  • Shoes wear out quickly and need to be replaced frequently.

Great shoes for beginners

My grandson is one year old and hated shoes until I bought him these. I haven't tried to take it off and it doesn't cry when we put it on. They fit perfectly and don't fall off! Now he has three different pairs and sandals! The doctor said they were great for his feet👍🏻

Pros
  • Ideal for extra wide baby sizes
Cons
  • Shoes don't have enough grip, leading to slips and falls.

Comfortable! Looks great!

I had to reorder as the first order only had one shoe. I was very shocked when I opened the box but it's easy to return and they've already sent another pair. These shoes fit great and look amazing. The child loves her.

Pros
  • Soft Motion technology for maximum comfort and support.
Cons
  • The shoes are not waterproof, so they should not be worn when wet.

Velcro no longer works.

Good shoes but after only 4 months of wearing these shoes the velcro has worn out and doesn't work at all on one of them. Really disappointing.

Pros
  • Ideal for active toddlers. Easy to put on and comfortable
Cons
  • Shoes don't have enough arch support

Fantastic for wide little feet

These shoes are adorable. I like the toe box as it is protected for crawling and walking. Very flexible! The kid is leaving them which tells me they are fine!

Pros
  • It was an excellent choice. If you have a child with wide feet... These shoes are for you. loved her.
Cons
  • Sole fell off after 2 weeks

High quality baby shoes

I tried other brands but the material felt cheap and the fit was poor (my boy has wide feet). The roomy fit is perfect for him. I will buy another pair if they grow beyond the current size

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • My son has been wearing the shoes for about 2 weeks now and they no longer stick to the velcro. Bad quality for the price.

You look really cute on her.

You look really cute on her. When my kids were little I only bought Stride Right and now that my grandkids are little I still buy Stride it's the best.

Pros
  • Easily adjustable buckle for a secure fit
Cons
  • Shoes lack adequate ventilation, causing feet to sweat and smell bad

I love these shoes!

I love these shoes for my 2.5 year old so much I bought them twice. They are very cute and go with everything. They're made of leather, so they're great for walking Seattle's wet streets. The sole is extremely flexible and the shoes are wide so I find them perfect for my son's developing feet. My only complaint would be that I wish they were a bit wider. My son has ridiculously fat feet and even though I buy the XW we are still stuck on the velcro when I put them on him. I also wish they made…

Pros
  • stride rite® size chart
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Like barefoot

This is the most flexible toddler shoe I've found and I feel like it's as close to barefoot as it gets while still protecting little feet. I also use other shoes from Stride Rite, See Kai Run, Crocs and Keen. I think they look very beautiful and classy and I love that they are so close to being barefoot and light. The upper is made of pleasantly flexible leather, the outsole is made of pleasantly flexible rubber with rounded edges and the insole with memory foam for cushioning. It's true that…

Pros
  • Smooth leather upper with strong stitching.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Great shoe for beginners

I've always preferred walking rituals for our kids when they first started walking. The tread is thick enough that it doesn't hurt to walk on uneven surfaces (e.g. gravel) but flexible enough not to affect early walking ability. We used Robeez slippers on all of our babies until they started walking. never mind, and this shoe has always been the next step. With our first child we tried cheaper shoes but he kept tripping and falling because they weren't flexible enough. The stepping rituals…

Pros
  • Little feet are made for big adventures in the fun style of the SRT SM Artie.
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions
