The shoes look cute and durable but were very difficult to put on a child's foot. I ordered size 5 for my 16 month old son and he developed ulcers on the top of his foot after the first use. We cut the elastic laces to make room and that helped a lot. But these are definitely not shoes for toddlers with big feet.

They are said to be very broad and adaptable. Bought for my LO who wears CMO. They are so difficult to put on even after both pads have been removed. My LO is repelled by these shoes, although my LO loves shoes and has always enjoyed wearing other shoes that conform. After wearing it for a few weeks, I noticed the beginning of a blister on the top of his big toe, like the foot was shrinking from lack of width. I used these for my son who wears AFO part time. Xwide offers the best fit and the longer Velcro means it fits better than other options. However, it is cut high so that the AFO closure is under the shoe, which puts a lot of pressure at this point. The insert is removable so you don't have to enlarge it, which is great.

That's an absolutely huge volume, and that's exactly what we needed. My son wears orthotics in his boots and it's almost impossible to find shoes that fit his already wide feet with an extra orthotic. I'm not a big fan of tying my laces all day, but the laces offer the best fit.

Because these shoes were made specifically for kids with SMO/AFO, I had to try them out when my daughter got her new braces. I figured out the size and couldn't put her braces in her shoes, myself pressed and adjusted them as best I could. You shouldn't even go up to the next size because the 10th size is the last size with a velcro closure. I would recommend just paying extra for Billy shoes if your kid wears AFO.

First I went to their website and took measurements. I ordered the size he said and it is very wide. I might even start putting a boot on him. They are cute but had to come back.

Ordered a half size larger than her current Stride Rite 360 but they don't fit my toddler's feet at all as they feel way too tight.

The size was good. I'm glad they have XW. However. I am not satisfied with these shoes. The blue part of the sole fell apart after three socks to school. You can glue, but you don't have to. It's also starting to fall apart in other blue spots on the ground floor. For the price this is unacceptable.

The shoes fit perfectly. A plus was the removable insoles for the shoes, they fit even better when they're off. Will definitely buy shoes here again next time.

You know, I've heard so many good things about Stride-Rite shoes and I'm not impressed at all. The design is beautiful, the shoes are comfortable for the child, but being very wide they are narrower than other brands. Barney Rubble needs another pair

Advertised as wide, but the official tag is not marked as wide. They were designed to correct braces, which aren't necessarily the same thing. It's hard to find good wide shoes. I love the brand and was shocked when they started spreading across the strip. I hope this is the exception and not the rule.

These shoes were not what they said, I ordered a size larger than my child and they were too small and didn't give any room to wiggle either. Very uncomfortable.

My daughter has to wear braces and I found these Stride Rite shoes which are very wide. At first I was so scared they wouldn't work but they are amazing. They are very convenient for you.

It was supposed to be x-wide but it's tight on my girls foot, especially on the top of her foot. it's not far or x-far, i can give her back and buy her other shoes, they make her uncomfortable!

I had to keep using industrial shoe glue to glue the soles back to the shoes. In the end, the bad quality won out and the entire sole came off. We have owned the shoe for less than 3 months and the sole started to peel off after a few weeks of wear. Very disappointed, had high hopes for better quality.

I really wanted them to work! I even ordered 2 sizes larger than 1 like we do at Billy Footwear. These shoes are cute and have 2 removable insoles so they are deep enough for SMO but the extra wide fit is rather wide and not wide enough for SMO. The photo shows a red pressure mark after wearing for ten minutes. If your kids wear SMO or AFO, they won't work.

I love that the insert is removed to make them a wide shoe. I have no problem putting them on and off my daughter's feet. They really seem to like them as their feet don't cramp like they do in other shoes.

They are durable and comfortable. My child has wide feet, so finding the right shoes for him is a problem. These fit perfectly!
