I love the shoes and they seem to fit my little one well (if I take the inserts out because he is xw) but the inserts are nice and breathable and cushioning while the uncushioned insoles don't really cushion and feel rubbery. I love the Stride Rite for my little one but the other styles were too tight even in the plus size. The double velcro closure is essential for easy dressing and a comfortable fit. In addition, these colors go with every outfit.

My grandson always wore Stride-Rite shoes. He's wearing wide sneakers, so let's go to them. They are very durable. It's growing out of them and they still look great! He always tells me how good they feel. I'm glad he's happy!

My daughter has wide feet and her attitude of wearing socks and shoes every day is driving me crazy. They served their purpose during their first fun year. The tongue is fixed (fixed with laces), the laces stretch and fasten with Velcro. They are a little bulky and not my first choice in terms of looks but I would buy them again and again as they have made my life MUCH easier and ready to enjoy. 10 stars from this mom!

I struggled to find a half size for my little one. It didn't really matter until I tried going from a size 7 to an 8. Too big for him. I'm so glad I found these sneakers. He still has room to grow, but not so much that walking is difficult for him.

I bought them for my grandson who finds it very difficult to put on shoes as he has a fat and wide foot and in most cases wide and wide shoes do not fit because the velcro straps are not long enough. These shoes fit perfectly and look good too

My child has wide feet so not many shoes fit him. These Stride Rites go far and are very comfortable for my child. They are cute too. So many children's shoes come in bright colors and this one is beautifully neutral. Highly recommended.

Stride rite used to be known for reliable, high-quality footwear. Now most of their stuff falls apart within a few months and the prices stay the same. I will buy from other shoe companies which will hopefully hold up better.

They are of poor quality, they are very stiff, they don't flex well with the foot and are quite narrow at the toes where active kids need room.

Made for Play doesn't seem to be as comprehensive as other rites of passage. Overall liked the shoes but returned as they were too tight for my son.

Stride rite are signature shoes that come from my childhood and the quality has remained outstanding over the years. My grandson who is 8 years old loves these sneakers for their comfort. Great quality at a great price.

The velcro is not long enough to fully cover the shoe. I always intentionally choose a large width in orthotics, but for some reason this model has very short velcro straps and the shoes don't close completely.
