Beautiful and durable! : Van Parts & Accessories

I installed this in my 1989 Class C Van. Great upgrade as the original was bent and falling apart. This step is difficult. I had to make a few modifications to make it fit using a unistay and screws. If you can use a tape measure, hacksaw, cordless drill and wrench, you can install this. Much luck!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons

Hidden warning label

Chinsy slide mechanism that engages very easily. The dimensions in the drawings do not reflect how much the step tilts up during the storage process, so there is very little clearance between the top storage position and the sliding position, which is unusable in a recessed installation position.

  • New

Don't buy this, buy Lippert Single Manual Rv Step

Don't buy this, buy Lippert Single Manual Rv Step, 7 Rise, a much better tread design. Rubbish, after I finally got it installed using Home Depot 2" grommet nuts to get enough room to slide the step out and back in, the step climb was ridiculous in height, I had to lift my knee to get in. could not use this product as it requires a lot of clearance to slide the step backwards due to the unusual angles it is designed with.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Durable block at an affordable price

I had two of these steps. The first required me to have additional legs welded to the bottom of my aluminum trailer. Unfortunately, 5 years later, when reversing with my trailer, I got stuck on a tree stump and bent completely. Doesn't matter. The new one was on its way to me, arrived a few days later and bolted on from the original step. The exchange lasted 15 minutes. The old stage has held up well despite being exposed to salt on the streets where I live. It always worked the same from day…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Fits
