Chinsy slide mechanism that engages very easily. The dimensions in the drawings do not reflect how much the step tilts up during the storage process, so there is very little clearance between the top storage position and the sliding position, which is unusable in a recessed installation position.

Rubbish, after I finally got it installed using Home Depot 2" grommet nuts to get enough room to slide the step out and back in, the step climb was ridiculous in height, I had to lift my knee to get in. could not use this product as it requires a lot of clearance to slide the step backwards due to the unusual angles it is designed with.

I had two of these steps. The first required me to have additional legs welded to the bottom of my aluminum trailer. Unfortunately, 5 years later, when reversing with my trailer, I got stuck on a tree stump and bent completely. Doesn't matter.
