Electric Van Roof Vent Now Manual Vent

Worked great on my 1985 van roof overhead vent. My electric motor has failed. I removed the motor and circuit board. This handle is long enough to protrude from under the vent frame. Now I can open and close the ventilation manually. Many Thanks.

Cons
  • Almost Never

Nice metal design but poor workmanship

This handle is great as it is metal. last much longer than plastic. However, the supplied screw is slightly longer than the handle and was therefore unusable. There is also a metal rosette that was never removed from the screw hole so the screws could not be inserted. I had to take a dremel and clean it. Then go to the parts store for a longer bolt. For these reasons, this list loses 2 stars.

Worth the extra money

After playing around with flimsy plastic versions whose lifespans were measured in handles [5-10] rather than years, I settled on this all-metal handle for our bathroom window. It no longer feels like that thing came off leaving the window half open [it happened twice!]. Although twice the price of plastic, it would have been worth it if I hadn't foolishly tried to be frugal. As the saying goes, you pay for what you pay for, and that's the case with this crank: more expensive, but very…

Pros
  • Furniture parts and hardware
Cons
  • Some little things
