Studio Designs Modern Black Drafting Review

I'm 5'2 and have a desk. I need a chair so that I can sit down when I'm at work. As advertised, this chair should have an adjustable height of 28.5 to 32.25. the seat to the floor, but after assembly its height is really closer to 25.25-29 inches. When I went to disassemble it to return it, neither my husband nor I could see the leg. I ended up having to buy a large box to ship back. What I love about this item is that the seat is really nice and very comfortable.

These chairs are good value, good looking and satisfying on first use. If you use it every day you will be disappointed. First one of the adjustable gas springs holding the chair failed (about 4 months) and the manufacturer sent us a replacement free of charge. Then the running board broke on one chair, then on another, then on the other the gas shock absorber failed. They still look neat but are of no real use as they slowly collapse when you sit on them and both footpegs are now broken. These

Studio Designs has great customer service and everything else I've bought from their brand has been fine. I have a desk that I love and a few other things. There are cheaper chairs out there but I have found that you get what you pay for. There are more expensive chairs out there, but you won't get the style and functionality that comes with this chair. This chair looks great. It was easy to assemble. The upholstery was nice. This chair just didn't last long. After the first 30 minutes of using the footrest, the seal broke and the plug had to be screwed in so tight that it damaged the chrome stand. After a few days of use (6-8 hours) the chair started to smell strange. Others have described this issue with other chairs that use faux leather.
