They don't spin for very long, but that's to be expected as they aren't designed to do that (the chain doesn't need to keep spinning, unlike say a wheel). I use them with a 10 speed SRAM X7 with PC1031 chain, no problem for 230+ miles of riding. Wear is minimal, especially on the top pulley. Don't notice that they are louder than regular ones. Rotate freely. They don't seem to attract as much dirt as the originals.
