🚗 Scosche SU2031B Double DIN Dash Kit for 2015-16 Subaru Impreza/XV Crosstrek - Black Review

Strong, tight tolerances, snaps together, won't warp. A bit pricey for a piece of ABS injection molding and lacking the silver accents of the original plate hence the one star. However, the brackets that came with it were of better quality than the Subaru dash structure I bolted them to. The kit does not have any of the issues typically listed with the cheaper alternative. The price for a complete set is difficult to say.

I bought this to replace my stock HU on my 2016 WRX with Android HU (Panelo). A cheaper option than the 2015 bezel, the dealer charged me $200. Fits 99.99%, maybe even better than the original. The brackets that come with Scosche work great, lots of screw holes to adjust so you can flush mount the HU. The glossy finish is ok, a little harder to keep clean compared to the standard (but don't know why)

I read all the bad reviews about the Metra install kit and decided to use this Scosche kit on my 2017 Subaru Crosstrek and I'm glad I did. I was skeptical about the all black frame and now I love the look of it. The brackets are perfect and the best part is you do NOT have to reinstall the two bottom screws with this kit, everything is top mounted. I installed a Boss BE7ACP head unit and am very happy with the results and would highly recommend to all Subaru Crosstrek and Impreza owners.

I just fitted my new SONY XAV-AX200SXM double din unit to my 2016 Subaru WRX Premium and everything went remarkably smoothly. The metal brackets hold securely to the main unit and fit perfectly into the standard screw mounting points. The bezel finish looks very standard and mimics the original finish very closely. Perfect fit Crosstrek 2016. Minimalist call to ditch all buttons - virtually unused. Clean look, tight fit. Works perfect. The silver surface, which fades into black, takes some getting used to and feels a bit too empty at first. But these places can also be great places to attach cells. Although it says it doesn't work for 2014-2015 I have verified that it works with my 2015 Forester works with Clarion radio, but for 2016 you need a Subaru headliner. You will also need to reuse the bracket from your standard stereo as the bracket provided will not fit the 2015 stereo.

fits and works perfectly with my aftermarket head unit that I installed on my 2016 Crosstrack. You'll need to determine the correct position of the screws and brackets to ensure the main unit is flush with the fairing, but this only takes 10 minutes.
