Good for $$ Good for hauling food and winches

As advertised. Fitted my 2010 Forester as expected, although the eyelet was a smaller diameter than the factory OEM part. I'm not complaining though, I'm glad I have a second hook up front.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Appearance

Works well on a 2018 Crosstrek to fit 3/4 " tow shackles

Managed to get 2WD out with the rear tow hook. That speaks to their strength. I have them black painted, installed some 3/4" brackets with some bracket insulators (large conical for jeep bumpers) and they work great.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • No instructions

Solid but wish it was longer.

Supplied with many production vehicles. I'm not sure if this works when towing is required and I hope I don't find out. What, as they say. It's durable and my main reason I buy it is to cushion the back of the car in case I get hit from behind ;)

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home.
Cons
  • security.

Fits our 2017 Crosstrek

The hole on the tow hook is smaller than the OEM our Subi had. While it doesn't fit our 2017 Crosstrek, it screws perfectly into the front and rear bumpers under a removable end cap. The tow hook fully fulfills its function.

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Upgrade Availability

Perfect fit for my 2021 Subaru Outback Touring

Perfect fit for my 2021 Subaru Outback Touring. We live in snowy northern Minnesota and keep tow hooks year round. We drilled the tow hook cover for permanent installation. Photos of the factory hook with our shackle on the front bumper and rear bumper with tow hook from this Revain listing.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Perfect OEM tow hook, check your trunk first.

Perfect replacement or replacement OEM hook. Before you buy, check your trunk next to your tire. Most Subaru have a tow hook in the spare tire well. I have extra ones now because I didn't test. I hooked up a tow hook ring and I like the way it looks. OEM products and strong enough to get you out of the ditch without damaging your car. To assemble, simply carefully remove the cover of the drawbar flap, align it and screw it on.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later

Tow hook just in case

I once had an Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV. One winter evening I landed on the ice and rolled into a ditch. I couldn't get out myself, but a Good Samaritan in a jeep helped me out, who wrapped a cable around the axle and pulled me out. There had to be a better way, and when I read in a January Subaru magazine that having a tow hook, shackle and tow strap is a must, I recalled my previous experiences and put together my rescue kit. I'm not looking forward to using this product so I feel comfortable…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
