Perfect Fit - Interior

Perfect Factory Replacement. The woman didn't like that she had a tear. It was quick and easy to disassemble the old one and swap the circuit board for the new one. Happy wife happy life!

Pros
  • Great Product
Cons
  • Faulty

Close enough for government work!

I don't know what transparency is, but the shell feels nice. The battery compartment is slightly larger than the original and the battery floats in place. I had to cut off the corner of the zip pouch it was in, fold it up and place it under the battery so it stays connected to the transmitter.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Poor quality Do not buy

The back cover of the case did not keep the battery in contact firmly. I had to tape masking tape to the side of the battery to hold it in place. The metal ring bent when placed on the assembled case (bad heat treatment?} so I had to reuse the ring from the old case. I was able to get it to work but I don't recommend it.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • There are problems

No keychain lasts forever

With the same success, you can purchase a new battery. If you have a digital voltmeter (DVM), check the voltage. and keychains. There have always been problems with intermittent response. With new shells they work constantly.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities

2013 Chevrolet Impala OEM Key Fob Replacement Housing Only - It Works!

It didn't work at first when I put electronics in it. I wanted to go to work. Then I changed the rubber bands. no I think my electronics are broken now. set and it worked. So both sets work. I find the new case a bit tricky. If you don't succeed the first time, don't give up. Play around with it a bit and make sure everything is fine. pk mine eventually did.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Weight

No pendant lasts forever

The bag is a surprisingly rough place. If you're confident that the circuit board is ok - and you're dreading plugging a new key fob into an old car, then this is the way to go. Fits as a replacement for the 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 3 button remote

The original remote housing for my 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 was brittle and deteriorating. I decided to try replacing the case myself before spending the money to replace a brand new remote that needs a locksmith to program it. My original circuit board fits snugly in the new case (with new rubber key membrane). The only difficulty I had was fitting the rear of the fuselage to the front half. This is a tight fit; I had to run my thumb around the edges of the back half to "snap" the halves…

Pros
  • This is an aftermarket part
Cons
  • No automatic controller
