The strong magnet and beautiful design make this magnetic catch a great addition to any drawer, door or kitchen cabinet. I installed it on a closet door and the spring force inside is still strong enough to open the door when locked. This is a good addition to any door.

I used this latch on my "hidden" 1 3/8" door. Initial thought was that it was too long an extension when released, but it is necessary to be able to grab the door to open it as the magnet is held fairly firmly when the latch and plate are properly aligned.

We won't be able to use it for what we need (because the door frame doesn't have 'ledges' to push the door to shut the magnetic latch unlock), but I wanted to say that it is much stronger and better quality than it may appear in the picture. He could probably handle a full size door.

The best part is the slow retracting magnetic plunger. - Approx. 3/4 inch extension. strong enough to easily open a flush-fitted hidden door (enough to grab the edge), the little steel mounting plate has a crappy rivet and will likely break after a few uses. can hang it again if that happens.

Bought to use on a bin drawer door so we can open it with light foot pressure. Works perfectly. The drawer with two bins is heavy but easy to open and hold. Now our dirty or sloppy hands will no longer mark the closet door.

GREAT latch! I used a double magnetic clasp from a large store that worked fine but "opened" and didn't always work properly. I just installed this Sugatsune latch and WHAT a difference! It moves perfectly and is very quiet. I look forward to trying Sugatsune invisible hinges. I highly recommend this latch, I used it on a 36" interior door. Many Thanks.
