I bought this product because I had several images that I wanted to embroider. It would be very time consuming to use carbon paper to trace each line. Then I found this product! WOW! I was able to print some free image files from my computer onto this medium and then all I had to do was sew and wash. This is my third package. It didn't work out at first, the seams stayed stiff and tight. I heard they changed the glue before I bought my second pack and it worked great, dissolving very quickly and completely. I just tried soaking the first few pieces in the third pack and they don't dissolve at all! It looks like a sticky plastic sheet that doesn't dissolve in water. I am using this product for a large embroidery project that I wanted to make it look better than if I had drawn the outlines by hand. I was happy to find a product to use on my printer and get a more professional stitching line.
