Easy to use design transfer tools

I needed to transfer a long handwritten design onto thick fabric so I bought these sulky pens. The four colors are beautiful and vibrant and come in a great plastic tube making them easy to store. However, I'm glad I checked the "smoothness" of the ink before I started transferring the design. These pens - I used the red one - make very sharp lines, but when ironed onto canvas the ink lines become THICK. Very thick heavily pigmented lines

I bought these pens to help me transfer patterns or designs onto fabric for embroidery/stitching. The pens are easy to use and fairly easy to transfer (just be careful not to move the fabric or transfer during the ironing process) but I found the lines too thick and dark after transferring. They were difficult to hide behind the seams. I was hoping the pins would leave a thin or lighter outline on the fabric so I could cover the lines with the stitches I made with embroidery floss over them. In

These are the best transfer pens on the market.

These markers work great! I've seen in reviews that some people think they're dry and can't get them to work. You will need to refill the marker from time to time by pressing the nib up and down on the paper to pump ink to the nib. I have used several brands of transfer pens and so far these are the best available. They're hard to see on a black shirt, but they're enough to convey and complete your project.
