I like the overall design of this unit. It's perfect for my needs and perfect for where I need to store it. I think it will be strong enough to withstand the shaking and weight of a sewing machine if used for that. It is versatile in the sense that it can also be used as a desk. The build can certainly be improved as others have pointed out. The holes for the magnet on the back are simply on the wrong side of the board. So plan to use a drill to place them in the right place. Not the end of the
