Small pump, does the job

This pump worked well. I used it to lower the water level in a pool by 20,000 gallons. I had to run it for about 7 hours to lower the water level by 5 inches. It wasn't very loud and not hot. It says that the pump should be lubricated with vegetable oil before use and also not allowed to run dry. Follow this and I think you will be successful.

Pros
  • Hands free operation

  • Almost never

Great pump with well thought-out components included.

I used this pump to drain a water bed. He completed the task in under 30 minutes. It was very easy to set up and run, make sure you follow the instructions on adding vegetable oil before use. The short hose that came with the kit was perfect. I was very impressed that they sent an extra set of brushes for the motor and an extra impeller for the pump. They also send an extra pump cover gasket in case you need to replace the impeller. These are important parts that wear out over time.

Good job but there are issues with the design

Functions as described (although I can't say I measured the performance but it seemed high). So why 3 stars? 1. There is no on/off switch - it must be unplugged to turn off.2. contradicting directions. The leaflet says you turn it on and it works, but there was a sticker on the pump itself to fill it with water before starting.3. incomprehensible direction. Do I only smear it the first time? Any use? Sometimes?4. No automatic shut-off in case of lack of water. That means I have to be careful…

Don't waste money!

I ignored the other reviews here and bought it anyway. I wish I hadn't. I followed the instructions in the priming and lubricating guide. It worked fine the first time. The second time, no water was taken from the spring. It didn't need to be lifted (the pump was flush with the tank it was trying to pull from), it just wouldn't pull. I refilled and lubricated the pump and it worked. Third time same, except he didn't tug on it after opening it to pour. I filled the entire suction hose several…

Pumps a lot of water

Pumps a lot of water but very noisy. We used it to circulate water from a homemade ofuro/hillbilly hot tub made from a 5ft tank. At the outlet of the storage tank bulkhead, we connected a Remes pressure washer filter that led to a pump that connected to a Camp Chef Triton L5 propane tankless water heater that sent the reheated water back to the tank. We connected the pump to an Inkbird temperature controller, which turns it on or off depending on the set temperature. We switched to a 12v DC…

Great pump. Terrible benefit.

This is supposed to be a utility transfer pump - meaning it works to pump fluid from point A to point B. Despite having a large, powerful pumping motor, its usefulness is severely limited, no on/off button. That is, as soon as the thing is connected to the power source, the motor starts. . Now that's *necessarily* not a problem, aside from the fact that running the motor dry will cause it to stall. Therefore, you must be absolutely sure that the inlet hose is completely submerged in liquid (and

3 months and 11 days on Rough Plumbing

Hmm, I bought this 3 months and 12 days ago and it says my return window is closed.? The pump no longer sucks. Lo and behold, if anyone had done the right thing, it would have been me! I'm not stupid. I know how sump pumps work, I know how these little ones work. This engine is broken. The heat of the pump will burn your fingers/hand in 20 seconds. I know how to pour oil. If I wasn't sure, the pump wouldn't work for 3 months and 12 days. Yes, I added more oil. No, it is not dried. I only use it

Small and quiet and it gets the job done. move water.

I use the pump to empty the children's pool and I can also use it to empty the water heater. It moves water fast, I got it up to 4.2 GPM with the included water suction attachment. more water without nozzle. I like the water suction nozzle as it allows me to pump water that may have debris (leaves) in it. It was a little difficult to follow instructions without a third hand. Side, fence, and lubricated with a little vegetable oil. Then I connected the suction hose, filled it with water…

A good product; poor documentation and parts support

This is a great little pump that comes with very poor instructions and "zero" parts support. Probably most of the frustration people express has to do with inadequate instructions, a lack of video or troubleshooting support, and a lack of communication between sales and parts support. Questions like those asked here should be answered in the manual (e.g. do you have to fill up every time or just the first time?), but it doesn't. (Answer: Yes, every time.) They warn you that your pump may be…
