Description of Sunbeam Mini Static Control Collar

Stop annoying barking safely and effectively with this bark collar that detects when your dog barks; it features an ultra-compact design. Featuring the same technology used by professional trainers, this dog bark control collar measures noise and vibration to detect just your dog's barks, not those of other dogs. Anti-bark device automatically emits a static pulse when it detects barking. Control panel lets you set 3 correction levels to adjust for your dog's sensitivity; works for all breeds of dogs. Made of comfortable, durable, fabric; easily fits neck sizes of 6 to 28 inches. For training purposes only; not to be used more than 8 continuous hours. Turns off when not in use; sleep mode extends battery life.

Not recommended for thick-haired dogs.

If he is not cared for, it rarely shocks him. Not recommended for dogs with thick coats. But it shocks him from time to time, enough to startle/disturbing him, so he's usually silent when he's at it. The battery life is excellent.

Solution for bad bark

Good size collar for my 7lb mixed breed but not a reliable way to stop barking. It might have worked a couple of times, and now it's not working all together. Changed batteries, tried different settings, maybe tighter and nothing. The collar also slips and does not stay on the dog's neck. Don't waste money.

Fits collars

My dog is half Jack Russell, half Dachshund and weighs about 13 pounds. When he starts barking I have to yell and yell to get him to stop, which isn't ideal for a newborn. I have used bark collars before and this one is comparable. The size is good, the excess part can be cut off to avoid hanging around the head. I like that the intensity of this collar can be changed according to the dog's needs. To be honest, my dog knows what's going to happen, so I only use the lowest level. It can be worn…

It's gentle but still works

My biggest concern was the comedy movie scenario where the dog barks and gets thrown across the room by an electric shock. So I was very nervous when attaching it. to my chi/mini pin. The collar didn't bother him, and then the UPS man came. He barked - half a bark. Then he kind of looked around. Later, a Fed Ex representative came up the driveway, interested but not barking. He wasn't in pain, he wasn't scared, he just didn't want any discharge. And so it continues. We only leave it on for an…

Bassets are a stubborn breed.

I bought this collar for our new Basset Hound. I have never used a bark collar but my husband used one on his previous dog (a spaniel mix). I initially put the collar on a basset hound without batteries so he wouldn't associate the collar with pain. A week later I put the battery in and turned on the minimum setting with short plugs. This startled my basset hound, but he quickly recovered and continued to bark. We soon switched to medium and then high settings. After the battery died, we…
