It costs twice as much. Fiction.

I live in Northern California but grew up in Michigan. I remember using old "click" electric blankets in a cabin up north as a kid. When winter came this year, I missed the feeling of climbing into a warm bed. The apartment we rent is drafty with single glazing. Enough. And we lower the temperature to save on heating costs. So it worked. This model has 20 settings, a preheat setting and an optional auto shut off setting. I prefer to sleep on level 3. Backlit display. No click. The plush feel of

A few years ago I had an electric blanket that was put on and left lying around. It can literally burn you. It was better than freezing, but that was all. Unfortunately, it stays around 60F in our bedroom in the winter and an electric blanket really helps, so I thought I'd give it another try. When I ordered these I was hoping the technology was advanced enough to keep me warm but avoid burns. As it turns out, I LOVE this blanket! It has a preheater which I turn on before I go to bed and when I

*Please read the update below the review.*This is a great heating pad. The cover is very fluffy and comfortable. Color - muted brown with a hint of henna. I believe that in addition to a beautiful appearance, it will certainly provide maximum heating comfort. However, I will never be allowed to judge its usefulness. It arrived without the controls that allow for active use. Too bad I didn't get the controls, the tablet itself is great, how much better should it be when you have the controls and

Chronic Cheerleader's Winter Miracle

I live with debilitating chronic pain that keeps me on the couch most of the time. Lately my legs have been so sore and I haven't had enough heating pads to cover both of them. So I thought of getting an electric blanket so I can wrap these two baddies together, plus Winter and me. I'm always cold so why not get a whole big juicy blanket. That's why I'm so glad I got a size bigger than the "catchy". I can burrito myself in this thing! It's sooooo soft! And it helped my leg pain in both legs…

recommended for people who want to be very very toasted

to start with - I used to have one of the solar radiant heaters and used it at max power every night for 2 years before finally stopping heating the power . I never got the dreaded "f2" error, even after washing the thing a million times. how many bad reviews I see about this product say it's "too heavy" or that "wires can be felt through the fabric" or something like that. Unlike the little heating pads you can use on your body, electric blankets have REAL tangible wires. They are a bit stiff,
