2nd pair of Sunclouds

Bought when I lost my old ones in a wave on the beach (I know, I know). They are not exactly alike; They actually have large lenses that cover most of the eye area. If you've had a few Sunclouds before, I don't need to tell you how good they are. Low distortion, excellent UV protection and polarization. They are perfect for driving. Eliminates glare on the windshield and dashboard. Just subtract a star for value - I don't mind paying more for quality but I think they could be more competitively

  • Lifetime Warranty
Cons
  • Out of style

I don't really like them

I like these sunglasses because they are comfortable for me but I find them cheap and flimsy. The tint of these sunglasses is not very dark. In terms of car tint, I'd say it's around 35, which is the legal darkness for a driver's side windscreen in a car (for reference, a sedan's tint in passenger areas is around 5). I would buy these shades for around $10 but not for $40. I wish I had bought them and feel a little cheated. I recommend you try something different that will last a while and…

Very poor visibility in direct sunlight

Absolutely ZERO anti-glare. Very poor visibility in direct sunlight. I can't use them in direct sunlight! I replaced my old beloved Suncloud glasses that were lost after 10 happy years. These Suncloud "Conductor" lenses have good UV filtering, are large and comfortable. Good quality. I like the size and fit. BUT using it in direct sunlight is very BAD. Reflections render them useless. Obviously they do NOT have an anti-reflective coating like most other sunglasses. You'd be better off buying a…

Great value very good quality sunglasses

I bought my first of these glasses from LL Bean a few years ago and am now ordering a fourth to replace a lost one. I keep one pair for travel (that fell off somewhere in Charlotte airport a few days ago) and two other pairs, one in each car. I'm a big guy with a pretty big head and I find these $45 goggles to be very efficient, very comfortable and amazingly durable. Also, and most importantly, they miss looking at themselves in the mirror / "Do I look like an idiot?" exam. As long as they…

Reliable and affordable sunglasses

It's nice to see that Suncloud seems to be cultivating its product range year after year. I have had Conductor sunglasses for 3-4 years which are very worn out so I bought new ones. The new ones were identical to my old ones. During the first year of use, the new pair's finish began to peel off on one of the temples near my ear. I'm pretty sure this was due to my overuse of mosquito repellent on my ears. Nonetheless, I sent the damaged glasses back to Suncloud and they honored their warranty on

My new favorites in sunglasses and eyewear accessories

I bought a pair of Smith Lockwood polarized sunglasses and they fell out right after I bought them. They are made by Smith which I can't say enough good things about. They are very elegant but with a classic look. The color looks very cool. I'm 6'2" tall so I like big sunglasses. The frame fits my face temple to temple (5 5/8 inches) and the height of the frame is about 1 3/4 inches. I need my eyes and cover the curve of my face. What I've always liked about Smith glasses is that they use metal…
