They are quite fragile. Aluminum bends easily and lacks the springiness you get with steel. Not sure what size water bottles they are designed to hold. I had to bend these cages so tight that when I put them in, they would deform my bottles or fall out.

These bottle cages are lightweight, inexpensive and attractive. The electric color is a matter of taste, but I personally like it very much. The aluminum is fairly stiff but still has enough slack for you to adjust to your bottle shape if you go with something custom. I put one on my commuter and one on my old MB Bitter. They work for me on regular tarmac and trail riding, as well as light off-road/off-road (grass/gravel/gravel) riding.

Pros-1) Although they still look great after a month the paint hasn't worn off the bracket so it's squeezing the smaller bottle. It's probably not a big deal, but I could see where weakening it might end up. 2) With my old plastic holder, I could add a store-bought 16.9 ounce bottle. On the 2 occasions I've tried this holder, it has cut a hole in the flimsy plastic while driving. No big deal, just gotta know.
