Description of Sungold Abrasives 14270 Non Loading Stearated

Used for wood metal plastic fiberglass paint primer solid surface materials composites. Open coat grain with a non-loading stearate minimizes loading with a cool cut for longer lasting abrasives. Strong C-weight paper backing with latex impregnated paper for strong and flexible backing abrasives will not come off when folded over. P graded silicon carbide grain breaks down to create sharp points to cut well producing a consistent finish. Full resin on resin bond to keep the grain on the cutting surface and waterproofing the sheet. Comparable to 3M Tri-M-Ite Frecut Sheets.

Effective and Efficient Abrasive Sheets!

These sheets are a must-have for any sanding and finishing jobs. They provide great results and leave no residue. The stearated coating prevents clogging which makes the job easier and faster. They are very durable and long-lasting, making them a cost-effective option. However, they may not be suitable for heavy-duty projects and may not work as well on certain materials. Industrial and Scientific professionals will not regret using these sheets!

Pros
  • Long-lasting abrasive discs that cut through materials quickly and efficiently.
Cons
  • Can leave visible scratches on delicate surfaces if not used carefully.

Lightweight and durable

I make a lot of raw wood and renovate old wood products. My usual approach to sheet sanding is to start with 100 grit to remove and smooth the finish, then move on to 400 grit. I'm looking for a paper that won't get soiled with old coating or sap. This paper works great.

Pros
  • Mill parts and accessories
Cons
  • Not sure

Doesn't last at all!

I can't believe I'm writing this review. I mean how bad can sandpaper be? The saying "You get what you pay for” comes to mind. These abrasives use at least 3 sheets for each sheet of regular hardware store brand sandpaper. Stick to the higher quality and slightly more expensive, it's not a bargain.

Pros
  • Finishing Power Tool Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • Out of Fashion
