Works as expected. This is the second product I have bought from this brand and the first lasted 2-3 years. Hope this one does the same.

When I bought my batch of high pressure sodium lamps I didn't buy them for life. It took thirty years of eight hours of daily use before one of them blew. One is still connected. Their yellowish glow is ugly, but it hardly matters if you're lighting a parking lot or something. Talk about value for money!

Will never buy again. I was out of town and finally got around to installing the lightbulb. It never happened. 2 new light barriers bought and installed. Still does not work. I've removed the bulb and it looks intact, no broken elements or wires but has a black/chrome finish underneath. Not worth the hassle of sending it back. Definitely never buy again.

I already had a sodium vapor safety lamp but after 8 years it finally gave up. I installed this one and it put out more light than my previous one even though they were the same wattage. I have been using Na vapor safety lamps for over 30 years and will not go back to standard mercury lamps as they are more expensive and the blue cast is depressing.

While looking for a 70 watt lamp that would be compatible with the HAF-38 spot light I came across this product and ordered it as the light required a high pressure sodium lamp. Installation in the fixture was easy, but the bulb never came on, instead getting very hot. After cooling and removing from the holder, the bulb's glass turned very black, but the wires and everything else looks fine.

These bulbs are part of my photo sensor security lights that I have installed in the two back corners of my house. These bulbs produce quite a bit of light and only use 70 watts per bulb. LED lighting would probably be more efficient and therefore more economical in the long run, but I don't want to replace lights until the ballast fails. You will inevitably fail. Until then I will continue to use high pressure sodium lamps. Home Depot charges significantly more for the same HPS lamp wattage.

I bought these replacement bulbs for my elderly father-in-law who was having trouble finding replacement bulbs for his streetlights. I found these bulbs (I bought 2) online for half the price he could find locally for a bulb and he is thrilled with the value, the quality of this bulb and its light source.
