Replaced frame with unusual diameter

Solid feeling. The seat clamp came loose after 200 miles because I forgot to put thread sealant on the bolt. Tightening hasn't stripped the threads. Successfully replacing an old 26.6mm strut that was jammed and needs to be punched out. The equivalent wall thickness is 3 mm or more. Easy to cut with pipe cutter or hacksaw. Tip: apply a lubricant before installing in the frame.

Best post you can buy

I was surprised at the quality for such a low price. Very light and so adjustable. I didn't understand how it was adjustable until I saw the little protrusions in the mounting hardware. You can mount this on any bike and at any angle. The little indentations they make on the counter also keep it from sliding sideways. My clamp has always been so tight and now I just flip it and it stays put. We recommend. I now have 2 extra posts since that keeper.

Functional, ugly

Not as high quality as other brands. The kickstand is well made, but the top that the seat attaches to is pretty flimsy. It turns out these two parts may be made of different metals, or maybe it's a matter of finishing. In addition, numbers/letters are printed, as can be seen in the picture. I've never seen anything like this on a bicycle seat post. I'm sure it will do the job, but it's not pretty. That's five dollars cheaper than the Kalloy brand I was considering. I would go with it if I had…

Sized to fit American Eagle open seat post

Received an old American Eagle mountain bike in perfect condition, but the original seat post was too short for my comfort. The original used a 24.8mm seatpost, which is extremely hard to find locally or even online. Without much luck finding a seatpost with the same diameter, I tried to find a 25.0mm which led me to several brands. I am very familiar with the Sunlite brand and based my decision on previous experiences. It's been a while since I've installed a new seatpost and it's worked…

WHAT DON'T WANT? It is BEAUTIFUL

I love this seatpost. I mean what don't you like? The bracket you attach it to the seat rails is strong and secure. I have full confidence that it will hold my 225 pounds. It is adjustable so I can actually get the exact sitting position. I like it when the front seat of the bike is a little higher than the back. This adjustment is important to me. Also, I'm 6'1" tall, so I need a longer stance than the standard stances on most bikes. A 350mm length is plenty. The silver color is good too. The…

Great product, misleading picture

I picked one of these as it was the only thing I could find for my Vitus 979 that wasn't dated or something like that and so broke the bank. Fits perfectly and the post looks great (very smooth and shiny). It's a bit on the heavy side, but it's by no means a racing part, so no surprise. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating is that it doesn't have the knurling as in the picture, just a machined aluminum post with a saddle mount on one end. A bit of a shame as the grooved look…

Does the job for seats and saddles

Lightweight, it replaces the factory useless shock absorber without the wobble and twisting of the original. Looks slick with the extra groves and stuff. Dork Force One is taking care of it.----------------------Update 11/21/2011----------------- ------- --- The seat "slips" constantly. I turn around with a sudden "click" and my seat is now facing in a direction other than flat and my voice goes up an octave or two. I hardened his shit and it's moving on. I'm a heavyweight, no doubt over 250…
