It appears to be a quality rubber. I received a Kenda brand tire just like the original. I like that they come in a large flat box and not rolled up.

Kenda stamped tires the same as the standard hybrid tires on my child's Guardian bike fit perfectly. Excellent grip and tread pattern. This is important if you want your child to follow you on unpaved paths.

Absolutely the worst bike tire I've ever mounted. Doesn't want to sit on the rim, has to inflate, deflate, move. The bead and tire just don't center like any other tire I've ever mounted. I am 48 years old and have been changing bike tires since I was 9 years old. I confess I've been away for a few years, but it's awful. By the way, made in Vietnam and designed in Korea.

Completely satisfied with these tires. They cost twice as much. These kendas excel at trails, packed sand, rocks and coarse gravel. Not for real loose sand but I personally don't know of any tire that can handle it. I live in Arizona, can't comment on how they perform in the wet, but they handle desert terrain with no problem. Surprisingly good on the road. They won't make fires, but they'll escape okay. I would definitely buy these tires again. Excellent price.

Sunlite/Kenda AlphaBite is the standard tire for big box and older 3x6 MTBs.
