Sunlite SL23PAR38 Energy Saving Medium Review

I installed an outdoor light on the front of my one story home, pointing directly at the front gate and stairway leading down from the street below. It well illuminates the spot where a stranger can stand and unlock the gate. It always had an amber PAR38 (85W - 100W) spotlight - bright enough to illuminate the area and shine a would-be intruder in the face, but not one of those nasty blue and white security lights that spoil the atmosphere of a peaceful evening It's sharp, an overwhelming light

Very light. No complaints except that the color does not match that declared. I bought two red bulbs, but the actual color the bulbs produce is blue-purple-red (pink). It's quite surreal and a bit uncomfortable on the eyes due to the blue color. A bit like red and black light at the same time.

I bought a pair of these lights for Christmas. Tired of paying for electricity to light up traditional 100 watt spotlights. At first I was very happy with these lamps. They just felt warm, not hot enough to fry an egg. So, in terms of efficiency, they were much better. The original brightness and color were also equal or even better than the old style lamps.
