Sunnydaze 16 x 20 Heavy-Duty Tarp - Multipurpose Outdoor Plastic Cover - Reversible & Laminated on Both Sides - Dark Gray Review

The roof started leaking just before winter so I didn't have time to install a new roof. My daughter and I pulled this tarp over the roof and we had no leaks. In a few weeks I'll tear it down and change it. That was redemption.

I was shocked when I pulled this tarp out of the box. I'm not sure what defines "heavy mode" but it's not a tarp. I could do better with big hefty bags. inferior quality. And it took forever. Disappointed with this purchase.

Five months ago I was using this 'heavy duty' tarp to cover something in my garden and now the tarp is torn into strips and completely unusable - it started tearing/tearing/ after only 3 months decay. Sure, it was summertime in the Northern California sun, but I was expecting something that would stay in the sun longer, with a name like "Sunnydaze".

This tarpaulin is by no means heavy duty. It's very thin, almost "paper". Ordered grey. The color is good but the quality is not the same. If you need to cover something important, something with moderately sharp edges or corners, or something that needs to stay dry, DO NOT buy this tarp. It's probably fine as a light cover for anything that needs to stay dry.

We've been buying tarps from Costco for years. We needed a longer length, 20 inches, so we decided to try this product. It should be at least 10 ml thick and durable. As far as we could tell, it wasn't one or the other. The tarpaulin tore while covering our stacked wood. The 12x16 tarp we bought from Costco lasted a couple of years. I needed a heavy duty tarp for the roof of a makeshift chicken coop. The advertisement stated that this product was designed for heavy use. I have used many heavy tarps in the past. This tarpaulin is designed for medium loads at best. Nowhere on the packaging does it say "hard work". This product is not advertised properly. Nowhere on the packaging does it say it's UV resistant. Excellent square foot price. However, a fairly simple mode. I have bought expensive heavy duty tarps in the past and have been impressed with how long they last in the sun. I don't think it will take more than a year. I use it to cover my RV in the winter and summer months. I believe this will be a toast within a fiscal year.
