Great solar panel, look at the flexibility

Love the flexibility, could use a few more eyelet holes. I used this solar panel to power Battery Tender Jr. and to charge your historic car between trips.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Legacy model

Excellent CARRYING CASE for these excellent panels

Note: This is a LARGE CASE for these panels. I wear 4 panels in mine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086Z8H3C5/ Large exterior pockets for extra cables. Make yourself a portable panel kit for a fraction of the cost of folding panel kits.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • New Competitors

Very high quality with solar panels

My jeep is preparing to land and I have a lot of electronics. Clipped it to the hood and hooked it up to a solar charger to keep it always charged. This is in addition to the 170 watts on the roof to charge my Bluetti AC50. This is a quality panel that will provide 20 volts under less than ideal conditions. I bought another one just in case, but don't see any problems with it.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Weight

Small and powerful in solar and wind power

Works well and produces 45-50+ watts in full sun at the right angle. It even produces 4 to 8 watts of power when the sun is hidden behind a cloudy sky! Very easy. I don't leave it out in the rain or bend it, so I can't comment on how it performs in those aspects. I will most likely buy a second panel. Be sure to protect the panel from wind and damage. It has no protective glass like a rigid pane.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some issues

But once, once cry. Have a panel for life

I needed a small solar panel to charge my Goal Zero Lithium Power Pack as I use a CPAP machine when camping. I spent quite a bit of time researching the panels and finally settled on the Sunpower panel because of its reviews and features. The panels performed well in initial tests. According to the specifications, it is significantly more efficient than other brands that often use less efficient Sunpowers items. Spend a little more money for functionality and quality.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Sun-Sun

Lightweight and reliable in uneven light conditions

I did a lot of research before purchasing and was very happy with these panels. Most panees stop working or at least lose a lot of output if even one cell is shadowed by a leaf, which is inevitable in my situation. These panels do not suffer from this problem. Its light weight allows you to hang it on a window with suction cups, and its size makes it easy to store if you only use it during a power outage. Expensive but worth it.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Problems

Horrible packaging for solar and wind energy

This thing came in the most horrible packaging. Interestingly, Revain products are usually repackaged. Obviously this isn't from the Revain camp. Think of a sheath made out of the thinnest cardboard known to man. The sides of the bowl weren't even closed. The sides were deliberately left open with the panel exposed. The panel was somewhat damaged, having three significant creases along the entire length of the panel. The panel actually worked as advertised. It's functional and seems well made…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works better than I expected.

but not as bad as I was hoping. I am using it with a Buddipole charge controller to support/charge a 5Ah 4s2p LiFePO4 battery powering a 100W (radio) transceiver. I'm seeing 2.6 amps at 38 watts at 14 volts DC in my application - with my charge controller limiting charge to 14.5 volts DC the maximum I can expect from this 50 watt panel is 41W (that's about 82% of the rated power). Haven't had the good fortune to try a setup with the sun directly overhead - 2.6 amps at 4pm in clear Florida…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
