Great value pump

These amazing little things are so powerful. I figured I'd need at least two of these to circulate properly in my tank, but one was strong enough and they (I started with two out of four in a brand new tank) stick to the wall easily and firmly. When removing I really had to work on the suction cup to loosen it which shows how firmly it is attached. If I ever need to buy a submersible circulator again I will look for this brand. Highly recommended if your tank is over 40 gallons.

Not worth it for water pumps

I selected them to install with a 54 gallon reservoir. It took me about 6 months to get to work and was initially happy with the pumps connected to a 2 channel wave generator (two pumps per channel). After about 10 days a pump failed and made a terrible grinding noise. I disabled that pump and left the other 3 running. Shortly after the Wavermaker started it, another pump started pounding for a few seconds. Two weeks ago I lost my third pump to grinding. I now have a working pump. It was a…

Good value for your money.

I spent a little more money on a set of wraparound powerheads with a controller just to have the metal encased internals that allow the external magnet to somehow hold it. I contacted the manufacturer and they said to send pictures of what I did and that was the last I heard from them. $165 for the waist. They are outside of Southern California, north of San Diego County. So I had to replace them and didn't want to throw money away and am pleasantly surprised with them so far. I have one in my…

Constant design flaw

Well I've bought pumps from this company before and they all suffer from a flaw. The internal front cover of the pump is designed to rotate in the correct direction every time the impeller hits it. The last pump I bought from SunSun was a dual pump system that also started to work in reverse. This is because the plastic inside the cover breaks and the impeller then does what it wants as it is no longer being made to rotate. I bought these pumps hoping the company would fix this problem, but no,

Great buy for heavy duty pumps

Ok so I bought these when I upgraded my 75s to 125s. They are used to taper forward to remove surface tension and two below to remove dirt from the base. It creates quite a strong current in the tank which at first I thought was too strong for these guys but they are fine, it also clears all the debris out of the tank which is very good as you can see in my photos. I keep the reservoir fairly clean. and doesn't like trash at all so it's the best environment for her and my family and friends…
