The oily coating peels off to a metal that is not actually aluminum and crumbles. Structurally it is not torn like other reviews, but it will soon disintegrate if driven in dry conditions if substances other than water come into contact with it.

Lightweight, looks good but cracks with normal use. I'm a road cyclist and in the middle of summer one of the cages cracked without me wiping or stuffing my water bottle in it. It's an expensive item for something that doesn't last. I gave them 2 stars because they looked amazing on the bike.

These cages look great and are very light, but they are very flimsy. The first cage broke after about 500 miles and the second broke after 1500 miles. I put these cages on my carbon gravel bike with 28 ounce bottles. The weight of the bottles combined with the rough terrain seems to be too much for these cages.
