This filter drier was supplied without rubber caps on the ends. There is no indication that the dehumidifier is already contaminated with moisture. My logical conclusion (since there were no caps) is that it is contaminated with moisture and unusable. When the dryer is exposed to the atmosphere, it absorbs moisture and can no longer do its job.
