Description of 🌡️ Supco EM60 Dual-Channel Digital Thermocouple Thermometer with Probes, -200°C to 1300°C, -328°F to 2372°F, Accuracy of + 0.1% Reading + 0.7°C

Digital thermometer with probes for applications requiring a broad range of temperature measurements, including superheat measurements, food service applications, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system maintenance. Measures temperature from -200 to 1300 degrees C (-328 to 2372 degrees F), with a best accuracy of + or - 0.1% of reading + 0.7 degree C (1.4 degrees F). Accepts K-type thermocouple probes, for a broader temperature measurement range than a thermistor sensor, or J-type thermocouple probes, for higher accuracy than K-type sensor. Dual-channel thermometer with two inputs for measuring the temperature of two samples at the same time. Displays current temperature for either input channel, the highest or lowest temperature reading for a session, or the difference between the two channels.

No longer reliable

At first I was impressed with this machine. After a while I noticed that I was getting readings that didn't make any sense. I don't even use it now. Some days it reads accurately, other days it doesn't. If you want a reliable thermometer, go elsewhere.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Damaged

Fast and accurate readings and difference calculation

Used for subcooling or superheating or to detect temperature differences greater than 2 degrees when passing through a liquid line filter. See the ClipLight DryR information for more information. Excellent for all K-type thermocouples including inexpensive clamps such as Pyle PCTL01.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • None

Not the highest accuracy, but it's a lot for what you're spending.

You get what you pay for, pay little, get very little. This is a good gauge for non-professional and even professional work when you don't need great accuracy. But don't use it for something if you really need degree or fractional degree accuracy. The two included thermocouples come with a soft plastic carrying case and are simple wire solder balls, no probe covers.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some Problems

Temperature sensors indicate different temperatures. One is 1.5 degrees higher, the other 2.5 degrees lower. I've had 4 different ice bath thermometers and they were the most incorrect of them all. I can tolerate deviations, but they are good enough and do not correspond to the declared properties. Update - in November it broke itself - full of POS. one temperature is 300 degrees higher than the other.

  • Price

Cons
  • There are even more interesting possibilities.

Works great, doesn't cost much.

This device works well and is very accurate. I bought it to control the temperature of the coil before and after my heat pump. Two things I would improve. First, the lens is pretty soft and I scratched it slightly on day one just by picking it up and clipping it. Novus Scratch Remover removes all but the deepest scratches. I would have thought that this lens would quickly fall apart in the field. However, mine will always be in one place inside now, so that won't be a problem. Second, this…

Pros
  • Displays the current temperature for each input channel, the maximum or minimum temperature per session, or the difference between two channels.
Cons
  • Unreliable.

This is a great tool for the money!

This is a "right size" gauge for using hand tools in the workplace. Not so small that it can be lost or dropped: it has a small strap to attach it to yourself or hang it from something nearby and the display is great. Pros to consider: 1: Small but not too small and it looks like it costs more than it actually is. 2: Uses 3 AAA batteries, so battery life may not be too short. 3: It comes in a nice protective case and is NOT heavy. 4: Comes with two good type K thermocouples .5: It also has the…
