Problem solved in 5 minutes

I have a Honda Accord V6 that had its oil pan bolt removed when changing the oil. To fix this they put a butterfly in, but I wanted a more permanent solution. So I got this and in about 5 minutes I was able to start the faucet and put a new screw in. I highly recommend pouring the old oil back into the motor through the filter paper and then draining it again before running to flush out the swarf. The shavings WILL be, and they WILL be in the oil pan. This flush pushes them out without wastingโ€ฆ

Great set at a great price.

Great set at a great price. This worked great to fix a stripped drain pipe. The M17 x 1.5 tap replicated the original 16mm thread without drilling and created a new perfect thread for the included connector. Spark plugs are better than stock. You are using an 8mm or 5/16 hex wrench (same size) which should prevent stripping at the oil change shop. The plugs are supplied with an aluminum disc and non-over-tightening gasket. To repair the Honda oil drain use the SUPERTOOLS M15 X 1.5 TP1087C Oilโ€ฆ

Does what it should.

Since skived oil pans are so common on Hondas I decided to find an alternative to replacing the entire oil pan. M15 drain plugs are not available in local stores but the long taps commonly found in various kits are. Well, too long for some applications. Rubber drain plugs leak and oversized "standard" plugs are difficult to screw in and out. This kit fills the gap perfectly. Mine came with copper washers, not the aluminum washers like in the picture, which I think is the best choice. So farโ€ฆ

Repair kit in spares

I had a small engine with an aluminum crankcase that had stripped threads. I took some measurements and the old connector was 12mm x 1.5, the same thread pitch just slightly larger. I bought a 13mm x 1.5 tap and carefully enlarged the old threads to fit one of these. It seems to be working fine, now it pulls properly and is holding up well. Doesn't screw in as smoothly as the original plug when the engine was new, but there's a 50/50 chance it was a faucet and not a plug. It was a very simpleโ€ฆ
