Item received one day after the original ship date. When I opened the box, I immediately noticed some discoloration while it was still in the bag. We opened the box to expand it and it appears the lid has mold/burn marks. I took off the lid and it is also covered with foam. I ordered one of these because it needed to be expanded to 12 inches. At the same time I ordered a wedge from another manufacturer that expands to 7.5 inches. I bought our first of these pillows hoping it would help reduce the number of pillows I use to support yourself (while sleeping) to reduce symptoms of acid reflux. I've found that it works best for me when I use it at a lower angle (although I use a higher angle when I'm in bed reading).
