It breaks on first use. The plastic is too brittle. If you buy it, just throw it in the trash because that's where it ends up.

I was worried it wouldn't fit perfectly but it did fit the hood perfectly. I then pushed the support bar to close the hood and the support bar broke immediately.

It was cheap and broken. I just checked the return date to see it passed in November. Cheap item and I will have to buy another one. This lasted 2 months. Pay and go to the dealer.

Clip broken on first use. It turned out to be a perfect fit - perfect fit, easy to install. But my car is a 2004 Altima, I've had it since 2007 and the previous clip worked great for at least eleven years. So in the end it doesn't really add up.

Fits perfectly on my 2006 Nissan Altima, no problem with it. I've noticed people saying theirs are broken, I don't know why. It definitely holds the hood bar pretty tight. To avoid breaking yours, try applying some pressure to the end of the clip to loosen the hood bar before removing it from the clip.

Cracked and broken 5 minutes after installation. Now he is unusable. I've explained that by fixing it in cold weather but if that's the case I can't recommend it as parts like this are exposed to all sorts of extreme weather conditions with cars parked outside so the material has to be designed will resist. Or is it just very poor quality plastic. In any case, I cannot recommend this product.

I bought two of these (in case one broke during installation) to replace the standard which broke after about 100,000 miles. Both new ones I received broke when I put the bar back in. I got it working with a metal tie for now. Not perfect as they were brand new when I installed them. I don't know if I should just wait and get a new one from Nissan or try something else for now. We don't currently have a Nissan dealership in town so ordering them from Revain came in handy for me.
