At best, it's a dubious substitute.
I bought two of these (in case one broke during installation) to replace the standard which broke after about 100,000 miles. Both new ones I received broke when I put the bar back in. I got it working with a metal tie for now. Not perfect as they were brand new when I installed them. I don't know if I should just wait and get a new one from Nissan or try something else for now. We don't currently have a Nissan dealership in town so ordering them from Revain came in handy for me.
