Basically a great product but the EDID emulation doesn't seem to work

I was happy to see that the switch came with cables. Some reviewers noted that no cables came with the Switch. After plugging in the switch, I was happy with the weight of the metal box; The weight helps keep the box in place when I switch ports and helps it withstand the stress of cords dangling from the back of my desk. Works like a mechanical switch as others have said.

When you switch from PC to PC, it works as if you unplug the monitor, keyboard and mouse and then plug the monitor, keyboard and mouse back in. If you have a second screen, e.g. B. If you use this switch with a laptop and connect a larger monitor to the switch, when you switch to another computer, everything on the KVM monitor will move back to the laptop's screen. Love this KVM - it works well and I rely on it to work remotely EVERY DAY!

I took a little time to review this KVM switch from JideTech because I felt it really needed to be used and abused to provide any meaningful and long term feedback. As I said: I've had it for about 6 months now. It's awesome! I have used all of its features and I use it with 3 devices. I used it at least 8 HOURS A DAY Monday through Friday, with lighter use on weekends; this far exceeds any usual break-in period. I had no problems with it! Bad implementation, frustrating to use

I used this product to switch between 3 computers; 2 Windows 10 PCs and a ChromeBox. My main computer is a Windows 10 PC, so I observed most of my problems. - My display goes blank for a few seconds every 10-15 minutes. - USB keyboard and mouse are often not recognized by the computer when switching back. Received defective unit

Due to the limitations of the 4 port KDM switch in today's labeling I bought this unit as it felt like the best option. Unfortunately, I received a defective device and received no help from the manufacturer's support. If you are considering purchasing this product I strongly encourage you to make sure it works as advertised before Revain's return window closes.
