Does not come with camera setup information or hard drive. The information is only for management via a smartphone. If you have a configured DVR, it will not give you the right setup menu.

This item is a big disappointment. Yes it works, but if you decide to change something later, good luck. The mobile app sucks. It doesn't reset to default settings, there's no user manual or support. Simply spend the extra money on a Lorex or FLIR system. You will not regret it. A year later and I want to smash this thing with a hammer.

I really liked the easy installation and configuration. I like the idea of having a system that doesn't rely on WiFi. One of the best security DVRs for the money. The DVR and hard drive arrived the same day and both arrived early! You will also need to purchase a power adapter for the audio connection.

Very cheaply made and the picture isn't very good. For what is advertised all the features are there and the menu is clear enough to set everything up within reasonable limits. I had some old cameras and wanted to experiment with different configurations and that's when I started choosing what to use. Not bad, but if you've got $100 or more, do it cheaply, it's not always good when it comes to security.

Overall a good product. Easy to set up and use. Comes with a wired mouse but I was able to use a wireless mouse with no issues. The form factor is unobtrusive and it would be great if it became part of the entertainment center, for example in the living room.
