I just received these and installed them on a 2012 Sorento. It all took about 10 minutes. I did this myself, using a 6 foot ladder as a safety prop. And I thought wearing a pair of latex gloves was a good idea. My old flasks were a complete mess and the gloves saved me a lot of hassle cleaning them up. In addition, the Lift Supports Depot website has a helpful installation video.

Installed on a 2011 Sorento. Can't comment on durability as I just installed it. It took me longer to learn how-to videos on YouTube than to install. about 10 minutes. It was helpful to have a second person to fully open the tailgate when we made the second connection on each pillar. Otherwise it would be juggling to make the second connection while keeping the tailgate fully open. If you don't fully open the tailgate, the pillars feel 1/4 to 1/2 inch too long; You are not on my car. Fits.

I just installed these so can't speak to durability but they make a great replacement for the reworked blocks on our 2012 Sorento. Every one of these tailgate carriers gets old, it's just life. But our originals got to the point where they left the door open about 70% when it got cold outside. As expected, this was an easy, no-fuss replacement that I did on my own.
