Assembly was very easy! They work as they should! The only issue I have is that after installing my hood now pops up the sides when closed. Otherwise they work great!

Fits my '96 Lexus which I have owned for 10 years. I've changed them before but this other manufacturer's 1st set has lost its appeal in the last 4 or 5 years. I can't remember ever having as much resistance as this set. I am very happy with them.

My '93 Camry ran nice hood mufflers 'til they died. 12 years later I've invested in her and now I'm wondering where my life has gone. These puppies kick off my heavy hood as soon as I open it. Installation was easy on par with OEM rivet threads and for the price there are no downsides. The lifter sounds a bit grainy but still makes a percussive sound. No doubt they fit on the hood of a Ford F-450. Wu

These units replaced a faulty kit on the hood of our Camry. Once installed they work great and now I don't have to worry about getting hit when I'm under the hood. However, you should plan for a helper for the installation as you will need someone to hold/shake the hood position while you carefully attach the front attachment points without breaking the threads. (A few years ago I was able to install a broken kit without help, so I expected more or less the same thing here.)

I installed this kit on a 1995 Lexus ES300. The size is just right and they work well. There was a small problem. There is a small tab on the driver's side pillar for attaching the wiring harness. The tongue's stamped metal is spot welded to the bottom bracket. The tab was either slightly off center or the bolt hole was smaller than the bolt that needed to go through. I had to use a drill to widen the hole a bit to get the screw. After that there were no problems. The hood now holds very well…
