This is a really good mount for the price. I used 4 of these on a custom made board to project onto my windows for Halloween. I was going to use it without the extension but the mount has actually changed since the instructions were printed. It can still be used without the extension, but it needs a little "adjustment" to do so, and the element that attaches to the projector's "arms" bends/twist a little. Overall it looks good but I had a few issues with my LED projector (LG PA75U) and the length of the screws that came with it. 8mm deep so it still wasn't tight despite all the spacers provided. I didn't want to risk over tightening the projector so I had to put in some shims of my own to take up the play. I wish they included a set of screws about half length. This mount is not the best. For two weeks I couldn't get my projector within the limits of my Elite 120 screen. Constantly adjusting my arm, repositioning the base of the mount and constantly checking alignment didn't work. It was when the picture was tilted. slightly to the right. The universal mount did not fit my projector. It's not because of the brackets, the packaging of my projector literally said that it was not suitable for assembly. My fault for not reading.
