I'm used to very good smooth hooks, even plastic hooks, but this hook has a lot of DRAG grooves, it's like using cheap bamboo hooks with all the driftwood and drag

After getting used to the thickness and length of the hook, I found it easy to use. As other reviewers have pointed out, I have not experienced any seam binding. The end of the hook that picks up the yarn is very deep. I used it with Lion #6 yarn. It is very light as it is hollow plastic. I wish it had a size on it. I know I'll forget this information in the future, so I've marked it with a marker and hope it doesn't rub off.

I love my "Q" hook! I've always wanted to make some thick agans with 2 or more strands. I started one and will finish it soon. The crochet was easy to work with (having learned to work with such a large needle), didn't separate the threads, and was comfortable in my hand! I also ordered or a sample book! I thought the price was fantastic and shipping was very fast, it came in a nice padded envelope. I recommend buying this hook if you want to make a heavier and bulkier type of blanket.
