As good as my friend's Vortex

Used for 100 yards and 600 yards for desert mule hunting. Super clarity at long distances for hunting and accurate hitting the target for aiming. Great product 80% cheaper than whirlwind. I'm a whirlwind lover but didn't want to spend that much on a spotting scope. The only downside is that the camera mount is not suitable for a large iPhone.

Swarovski for the poor

Not a bad scope for the price. There are good comparison videos on YouTube. look at them first I would rate this area a plus 8. No; It's not the best scope you can buy, but it's not a $1,800 Vortex or a $3,000 Swarovski. It's similar in sunny weather, and you won't be afraid of someone breaking into your car and running off with all that Dinero!

Pros
  • A dignified achievement
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Optics need updating

For the price it's well built and the image quality is ok from 200-300 yards. My main complaint is the short eye relief at high magnification levels. I use it at 600 yards, I have to remove the binoculars to get a good view at max zoom at 600 yards. At maximum magnification at 600 yards, I can see the 6.5 mark on the white steel plate, but I don't see the 5.56 mark. The clarity of the image is much worse than that of the scope itself. Hope this helps other shooters. I switched to the Bushnell…

Great for bird watching!

I think this scope (my first ever) is great for bird watching along coastal wetlands. It's surprisingly light and can be easily transported on short to medium hikes with the included carry case (you'll also need a tripod). I found a bank across from the mud flats where the waders were feeding, 100 to 250 feet away. The sight allowed me, for the first time, to positively identify all the small shorebirds. The image softens a bit up to 60x, but I've only used that for birds at very long ranges. I

You get what you pay for when you buy optics.

I've only owed two telescopes in my life, this one and the old one. Visually they are on par, but even the older Vortex didn't have the thick magenta rim seen in this scope. This is chromatic distortion most commonly seen at high magnification in bright sunlight. It's disappointing that my rifle's scope is a hundred times sharper since I bought it for range use. It has a very good zoom range and the coarse/fine focus adjustment is a great feature and it comes with a nice cover to use when…

Large scope great for hunting and fishing

Last fall I needed a spotting scope for moose hunting and didn't have much money to throw away on a Viper scope and I came across a comparison video of this scope versus seeing one Viper. This one seemed to work just as well, so I figured I'd make the purchase. This scope was used on a moose hunt in Alaska. It was raining and the area worked great. He was with me in the elements in the rain for 2 days and there was no moisture inside. I decided to do a real test and put the wet scope in the…

Excellent spotting scope for hunting carbon monoxide.

If you're anything like me, you've researched over 20 spotting scopes ranging from $50 to $2,000 and decided that $2,000 is definitely worth it, but you can't do that much, They also decided that a 50€ spotting scope is crap. It's completely in the middle. Super clear glass. (I invested to put it on a good carbon fiber tripod for country bear hunting). This thing flew cross country and bounced around a backpack and truck bed for 7 days. No questions. Clear and sharp. I could tell you what…
