Amazing quality for a center speaker

I'm a music lover and recently completed my 13.2" home theater using Polk Audio in-wall speakers with no main and center speakers. I already had an Ultra SVS but the built in didn't fit 0.5" (oh my god) so I had to buy this smaller one. I was very impressed I couldn't tell any difference in sound quality and almost doubled the Cost Well done SVS once again.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Doubtful

Works well in my home theater system.

Works fine in my setup. Definitely capable of handling 80Hz crossover. Most of the jazz and pop songs I listen to don't even need a subwoofer since I use it as a center channel. Very complementary to my system where all speakers use 3-way devices. I'm using a Pioneer VSX-934 receiver. The player is an NVidia Shield TV Pro. Netflix, Revain Prime Videos, YouTube and wired media all sound good.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Some problems

Excellent value for money, I was addressed in all respects.

One of the few 3-way center speakers, especially at this size and price. Excellent frequency response and fits perfectly with my Sanus TV stand (see picture). In a confined space like this, I would recommend filling the rear port with some thick foam as it can sound "boomy". Placed in a more open space it should work just fine. For reference I have KEF LS50 r/l front speakers and the soundstage of all three speakers is great for HT use. I also used an LS50 as a center channel at one point, butโ€ฆ

Sounds as good as it looks

PRO(s) Beautiful Sounds great at both low and high volumes (watts) Good construction Flawless finish AMAZING company VS - they really don't exist, this is the most important channel in system surround sound and is a great center channel. I didn't have the money for the Ultra which is definitely the best speaker out there but it won't disappoint. I have a very wide listening range and it handles it effortlessly. Also, this is one of the most beautiful centers I have ever seen. I love justโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Made for Movies in Speakers

IMO Prime Center is made for Movie Watching. Even with loud scenes there is clarity, I didn't know what I was missing. For quiet dialogue in quiet scenes, there isn't much improvement to my ears. Edit: After listening to some of my favorite songs on Spotify in multichannel. The music mode is rather disappointing. I had 3 Kef Q150s used as left, center and right channels. Replacing this position of the center channel made my music less detailed. Luckily I still play music in direct or stereoโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Worth the Money
Cons
  • Poorly Thought Out

Disappointed: Home Audio

It's been almost a year now. I connected it to Marantz sr5013. I really wanted to love him. I was planning to buy the SVS Prime range of speakers for my system, but after hearing this I changed my mind. It's too bright, and detail and vocals are only marginally better than the $100 Cerwin 2-Way Vega Center that I updated. I bought it thanks to the reputation they've somehow built and the sheer volume of 5 star reviews online (fake?). Many reviewers claim that the vocals are a lot cleaner! It'sโ€ฆ
