Not the best 8 inch puller in the jaw pullers

This worked really well to remove the flywheel from my Huskvarna chainsaw but the only thing they found out was that it was an 8- Inch puller was, nothing about it. If you have an 8 inch pulley or flywheel, that's too small.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Not all will fit

cheap but can do the job once if needed

This is not a tool for everyday use, maybe for a few uses it got the job done removing a frozen pulley that was on the shaft with some heat and WD 40 was rusted I took it off but it checked the puller

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Clarity

Works great in pullers

So far I've used it as an 'inner' puller on an outboard driveshaft housing and as an 'outer' puller on a friend's lawn mower. blade handle. It appears to be a well-made tool that will have many uses. Happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Hard to say

Built to last in tools and equipment

I used this to try to remove the pinion gear from the pump. I tried to earn my money but to no avail. My next step was a 20 ton shop press that was struggling with its job. Considering what I did to that puller, it should have failed; So my new goal is to make it fail. If it doesn't work, I'll buy more!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Empty

The right tool for the job!

I bought a new engine for my Wacker (I had to invest a lot in additional parts to replace it with another one). The small gear/weighted magnet on the shaft couldn't be ripped off without damaging it. It took me more time to unbox and install the pulley on a small engine than it did removing what was needed! Great tool!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I will add later

Didn't do my best at Tools & Equipment

I had to remove the flywheel to access my mower's alternator. This puller was useless. The notches that should line up with the screws don't match, so they just slide off. Tried using a clamp to keep it from slipping but that didn't work either. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars, the puller I found at Revain for $35 worked like a charm.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

It's functional junk

The levers are made of scratch-resistant metal and seem to grip the object quite well. While far from professional quality, I expect it to be fine for casual use. I had to remove the yoke knob, the piston goes back and forth everywhere under high pressure, and you have to use a second hand to steady this poorly designed tool. But it worked and it's cheap. Pros - can be used to pull wide items - thick strong parts - decent quality pins - CHEAP Cons - shank on adjuster bolts prevent tight spread…

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Zero
