Ideal for casting resin art.

, I bought this to use for casting resin and it is excellent. It is a resin floating white, unique because white pigments are always heavier and tend to sink. So when you apply paint to this white, you create beautiful cells. Color and coverage are excellent. I don't follow the directions on the bottle when mixing, I add it after mixing the resin like all my other paints and I've never had a problem.

Difficult to use with small amounts of epoxy

This paste should be designed for very large epoxy casts, like a whole bar or similar. In any case, I can tell you that this material is so concentrated that it is difficult to use with a small amount of epoxy, for example in jewelry. I had to experiment a lot until I found the exact amount of pasta to add. If you add too much (it's very easy to do) your epoxy will come out of the mold frustratingly soft and take forever to fully cure. If you add too little you'll end up with something like…

Negatively affects epoxy

This is my experience with this product, yours may be different. I use this with Epoxy-it 80 clear epoxy for bar tops, sealant or pour (1 gallon) at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Without this pigment, the epoxy will remain smooth, the bubbles will pop easily, and you'll have a long working life. With this pigment, the epoxy will form several large bubbles that will not burst no matter how much heat you apply. The only option is to sand them and coat them with a clear coat.
