Not for crafting!: Hardware

I bought this rope for crafting, so my review is for craft use only. This rope is very rough with tons of debris sticking out of the rope. Appearance is terrible. Also, it's not very flexible to deal with smaller elements.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Zero

WRAPPED MY NYC HEAT PIPES

I bought this FOUR years ago and it still looks great. I've used it to wrap my bathroom heat pipe and bedroom pipe and it looks great and does a fantastic job of covering that ugly pipe and protecting me from burns.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I'm writing back

Not for crafting Good for tarps and bindings

This is great rope for the money but if you are buying it for crafting then keep looking. This rope is coarse and fibrous. Small hairs stick out, it dissolves, and the color is patchy and blotchy. But it's strong and probably a good service rope.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Something different

CAT STICK/SCRAPER REPLACEMENT

If you have a scratching post/scraper that is very worn but still working, order this, put on gloves, cut off the old stuff and hot glue it on . It's very durable, it will flake off just like what comes with your scratcher/scratcher so there aren't a ton of irritants floating around and your cats won't ruin your furniture.

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Not sure if this applies to steam lines

I used this to wrap my bedroom heater pipe after reading about it in home therapy. It smelled disgusting, like burning lego, but you could only feel it after the heating was turned on. One of those tightly coiled tubes only covers about half of the floor-to-ceiling tube and it took me so long I don't even want to unroll it to replace it. I don't know if it's a brand or what but the one I bought for my bathroom 2 years ago never smelled like that.

Pros
  • Satisfied for now
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Tons of hair loss when handling

I made a basket as a surprise gift for a friend and used it as an outer wrap. It's a beautiful rope, but it was very messy to work with. Sheds all the time. (Look at the ground between the rope loops) My work space was covered in scales. I wanted to do this as a relaxing project while watching TV, but spilling it would be such a mess on my carpet. A trifle was a strange smell. This smell will dissipate after a while but will remain as long as you hold the rope. Otherwise it made a cart. When I…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • vulgarity

The product itself is fine with the ropes

The product itself is fine with the ropes. I bought this to make a sailor knot rug because I'm on Pinterest and love to tormenting myself. The rope is rough and broke fairly easily when I pulled it through the rug to weave. He's pretty tough too. I stretched it right on the clothesline before using it and it only worked a little. Also from the rope it turned out to be a "mat” the size of a napkin. Like I said, if you're going to use this rope for more conventional rope stuff you'll probably be…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
