Features and Design

The jar is strong, not flimsy, works well and holds enough sugar to save space by the coffee maker and keep sugar close at hand. Looks great on the counter in my 1920's house next to my favorite mug! Good buy!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Long wait

Arrived damaged - kitchenware and gadgets

Arrived with a dent in the lid despite being bubble wrapped leading me to believe it was damaged in the packaging. Keep it because it still works and not worth the hassle of sending it back. I have tried to show the dent in the photo but it is difficult due to the reflective properties of the cover. Everything is as described except for the damage.

  • Always loved

My first tip I might not like this sugar bowl

My first tip I might not like this sugar bowl when the little valve/lid popped open and cut through the palm of my hand, when i opened it. It's very spicy! Also, I use raw sugar and the hole is so small it can't get out. Only not suitable for raw sugar. It pours well with refined sugar, but watch out for the sharp valve!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something in it

Survived a fall onto a tiled floor with no problems.

Very durable sugar dispenser. Shortly after I received and refilled it, it collided with a 34" counter and fell onto the tile floor and everything was fine. The corrugation of the glass beehive is attractive and characteristic. We use it for Splenda and a simpler version for cane sugar to make the difference clearer.

Pros
  • Nice item

  • Only available in black

Pours Slow - kitchen and dining room

Its glass is easy to grasp and hold. The lid is twisted as it should be, not cheap quality. One thing, it pours slowly since the hole is smaller than the 'normal' one. And the little flip-top looks a bit thin. The lid itself is thick and well made, only the size of the valve and dispensing hole is not quite correct or "standard". It will take some getting used to, but it showed me that disposable cardboard dispensers bought at Sams' Club or Costco actually make more sense. They are much bigger…

Pros
  • Everything great!

Bought for our caravan. I love her!

We bought these for 2 sugars in our caravan. Not only do they have a great "retro" look, they ride well, hold plenty of sugar, and the screw on top keeps the sugar from spilling out if you tip something over. They're just like the ones at our favorite restaurant, except for the tops. They look the same but are a little thinner and dent quite easily. (In fact, one of them arrived with a tiny dent on top). However, they are perfect for use in the caravan and are a cute idea to decorate our dining

  • GOLS certified

Very good thing LOVE.

Don't know what negative reviews are here. This is a nice item and it works well. I use it for a blend of stevia and pure cane sugar for my coffee. It's a bit grainier than regular sugar (and better for you) and therefore pours a little slower BUT this would be the case with any regular store filling machine due to grain size. Simple fix - shake longer and a little harder and it will work, a new concept for those complaining about their fill speed feedback here. For god's sake, people have…
